Family Mosaic provides good quality, affordable homes and housing services to over 45,000 people in communities across London and Essex. The Care and Supported Housing team specialises in a number of support services: learning disabilities, mental health, young people leaving care, former rough sleepers, drug and alcohol misuse, and acquired brain injuries and supports over 3000 vulnerable adults to live in the community and integrate into society. A large part of the service concentrates on providing independent living support — enabling people to live in their own homes and get more out of their local communities.
Family Mosaic procured the IT solution Capita Support from Capita in Dec 2010 and went live in May 2011. Capita Support was selected because it provides the flexibility required to meet the organisational needs of Family Mosaic. They are also passionate about only using 'world class suppliers' and the purchase of the product matches their strategy of removing in-house developed solutions. Family Mosaic believes Capita Support will enable them to deliver the important project, 'software as a service', in a tight timescale, to budget and with the professionalism expected from software service providers.
Implementing tailored software to support the individual needs of Family Mosaic will bring about organisational efficiency gains and strategy support, improved accuracy of supporting needs information, increased satisfaction from service users, greater bandwidth to deliver more support to more people, expansion of personalisation to service users and improved access to the most up to date information for staff and service users.
