Capita's LLPG solution at Newport City Council case study

A collaborative pilot project, facilitated by Welsh Government and led by Newport City Council, is improving the management of addresses by using Capita's Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) software to create linkages between electoral registration, revenues and benefits and other core systems. The solution has delivered significant additional revenue by making the address linkage process across multiple systems more efficient, reducing errors and detecting potential avoidance and fraud.

"To date, £430,000 of additional revenue has been recorded through the application of Capita's LLPG software. Projected benefits are likely to exceed £800,000 across Wales when other Welsh Unitary Authorities, over 50% of which have already begun similar schemes, progress their implementation further."
